BAPES 2017 Conference and Perioperative Practitioners Training Day
Preparations are well underway for the 2017 BAPES Annual Meeting, which will take place in the vibrant city of Newcastle.
Those registering for the Perioperative Practitioner Laparoscopic Training Day are able to attend the scientific meeting on Day 1 & 2 free of charge. This will take place at the Copthorne Hotel. There is always a wide range of short papers presented, covering varied current topics, a debate on a contentious subject (always an interesting session listening to the renowned experts putting forward their reasoning, fighting for their corner!) and a keynote speaker. Everything really worth attending.
On Day 3 of the meeting, running parallel to the main scientific conference, there is a Perioperative Practitioner Laparoscopic Training Day consisting of both lectures and practical stations supported by industry. There is the opportunity to handle and practice using laparoscopic instrumentation. The venue is Newcastle Surgical training Centre
The day is particularly aimed at Nurses, Operating Department Practitioners and Theatre Support Workers involved in children’s laparoscopic surgery. It will appeal to both novices and those with experience.
Feedback from previous delegates has always been very positive and it’s a great opportunity for networking with colleagues from other centres.
Places are limited. Registration will open summer 2017.
